A bus will leave at 8 PM from the airport to bring you to Morelia 4-5 hours later.

There are bus connections every 60 minutes between 5.00 h to 23.00 h from the Western Central Bus Station "Observatorio" in Mexico-City to the City of Morelia, Michoacan; Domestic flights from Mexico-City airport to Morelia available.

 Sunday, 2nd of July 2006

Morning: Field trip: Presentation of experimental sites of the REVOLSO Project of the European Union in Atécuaro (distance: 16 km from Morelia).

Afternoon: Visit of part of the Purepucha area with the Colonial City of Patzcuaro, Lake of Patzcuaro and the archeologic place of TzinTzunTzan.

 Monday, 3rd of July 2006

First day of the Symposium: Scientific lectures and poster exhibition.

This day will end with a "Mexican Night in Morelia"

 Tuesday, 4th of July 2006

Second day of the Symposium: Scientific lectures and poster exhibition.

Night sight seing of Morelia, colonial city, one of the UNESCO world heritage town.

 Wednesday, 5th of July 2006

Morning Third day of the Symposium: Scientific lectures and poster exhibition.

End of the Conferences

Afternoon: Transfer by bus to Tlaxcala (450 km of distance through highways via Mexico-City).

Night: Closing ceremony of the Symposium and closing dinner with a "Mexican Night fiesta in Tlaxcala"

 Thursday, 6th of July 2006

Morning: Field trip. Andosol Soil Profiles with volcanic indurated horizon ("tepetate") through the Sierra Nevada de México.

Afternoon: Visit of archaeological sites of Cacaxtla and Xochitécatl (famous archeological excavations of pre-hispanic cultures), near City of Tlaxcala guided by colleague Archaeologist Dr. Mario Aliphat Fernández.

 Friday, 7th of July 2006

Morning: Presentation of experimental sites of the REVOLSO project in López Mateo (75 km near Tlaxcala) y Santiago Tlapan (approx. 56 km near Tlaxcala) on the way back to Texcoco.

Afternoon: Visit to the Colegio de Postgraduados of Agrociencias (CP) and the University of Chapingo (UACh), the main national agronomic resarch centers of Mexico. Visit of the chapel painted by Diego Rivera in the ex-Hacienda of Chapingo (currently UACh)

End of the tour.

Morning: Visit of the archeological place of Teotihuacan, at 20 km from Texcoco, guided by the Dr. Emily Mc Clung, archeologist working in this site since years.

Afternoon: Departure to Mexico-City Airport (at 1 hour of Teotihuacan) for the Participants of the 18th. WCSS, Philadelphia, USA.
